Company History

1903

From the foundation of the business, through the Meiji, Taisho and Showa eras until around 1955, excavated clay in the area around Mihama-cho and sold it to Tokoname Ware potters and other customers in the area.

1961

Established Mihama Industry
With the boom in infrastructure development, embarks on the production of concrete products for civil works and construction, eventually focusing on water purification tanks.

1967

DAIE’s concrete purification tanks are sent out into the world for the first time.

1971

Establishes Tokai Plastics Industry to manufacture lightweight and durable FRP purification tanks.
Builds a second new manufacturing plant and establishes framework for mass production.

1972

Builds new Tokai Marine Plant.

1975

Merges Mihama Industry into Tokai Plastics Industry and changes to current company name (DAIE INDUSTRY).

1978

Tokai Plastics Plant obtains approval to display JIS mark.

1983

Receives award for excellence in rationalization from Aichi Prefecture.
Tokai Marine Plant obtains approval to display JIS mark.

1993

Construction of Hokkaido Plant is completed.

1994

Wins Prize of Smaller Enterprise Agency’s Director

2003

Obtains ISO14001 (JIS Q 14001:1996) certification.

2005

Obtains ISO9001 (JIS Q 9001:2000) certification.

2013

Becomes first in industry to obtain approval to display the ECO mark (purification tank FCE type).
Awarded Product of the Year in 2013 ECO Mark Awards (purification tank FCE type).

2015

DAIE’s proposal for “Project Formulation Study for Introduction of Purification Tanks as Dispersed Wastewater Treatment Equipment for Public Facilities in Indonesia” was adopted for ODA project formulation by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and in-situ project study is scheduled to commence.

2017

Obtains ISO9001:2015 (JIS Q9001:2015) and ISO14001:2015 (JIS Q14001:2015) certification.
